Practical seminar Power Quality Specialist (EN50160, EMC and EMF)
The topic of power quality (PQ) is spreading rapidly and increasingly companies, committees, associations, educational institutions as well as government organisations are dealing with it very intensively. Many faults are produced and localised on the consumer side. Either caused by decentralised feed-in, non-linear consumers or non-professional EMC wiring in buildings.
The practical seminar is based on the principles of power quality standards as well as SN EN 50310 and NIV, Article 4 for the avoidance of interference through EMC-compliant installations.
After completion of the further training, the trained specialist should be able to assess the following things, or be able to master them in practice:
- Knowing and understanding the contents of EN50160 and its components
- Know the EN50160 statistics and PQ events
- Carry out expert measurements and evaluations according to EN50160
- Identify problem cases and determine possible solution variants
- Differentiation between power quality issues and installation errors
- Know basic requirements to avoid interference according to Art. 4 NIV
- Understand EMC principles according to SN EN 50310 with examples and apply them in a solution-oriented manner.
To achieve the learning objectives, a mix of theory and practice is offered. In addition, participants are expected to contribute themselves to the practical homework assignments set.
