Load management

Electricity consumption is often referred to as “load” in the energy industry. Load management is the active control of electricity consumption (“demand side management“). As a result, it is equally an intentional management of electricity demand, often responding to financial capacity signals from the electricity supply side. Load management is an important component of the smart grid and is therefore in the context of power quality. Existing infrastructure is equipped with intelligent information and control technologies in this regard. It is therefore about the entirety of active and demand-side load control tasks and the resulting benefits.
